Our Mission
The Western New York Regional Training Center is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting athletes in their Olympic wrestling pursuits while fostering talent retention in the Western New York region.
Beyond athletic careers, we assist with job placement to help athletes transition successfully into the workforce and contribute to our community. Through top-tier training and comprehensive support, we empower wrestlers to excel and inspire future champions.
Our Purpose
With the new NCAA roster cap, the Western NY Regional Training Center (RTC) will play a pivotal role in maintaining a continuous training environment for individuals who are injured, redshirting, or striving for a roster position. The RTC will serve as a bridge, ensuring all wrestlers in our program receive the necessary development opportunities while maintaining their pursuit of excellence at the collegiate and post-collegiate levels.
Additionally, the RTC provides an NIL avenue for our athletes, giving them opportunities to benefit from their name, image, and likeness. If we aim to become a major player in collegiate wrestling quickly, leveraging NIL through the RTC is the most realistic way to accelerate our progress. This approach will allow us to pursue elite talent both in high school and through the transfer portal, ensuring we attract and retain top-tier athletes.
